Coaching Kids

"There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in" Deepak Chopra

I think childhood should be a time for happiness, play, innocence, fun and all these good things. But the world we live in today puts incredible pressure on kids of all ages to grow up, conform, fit in and behave themselves (whatever that means!).

Have you ever seen a child who is locked in misery or sadness?  Have you witnessed a child losing their innocence to stress and anxiety?  Maybe a child you know has gone from a playful place to a place of destruction or violence.  When a child stops being a child it is heartbreaking to watch, difficult to cope with and often, no matter how much we want to, we have no idea what to do to help.

Many parents I meet have the misfortune to believe they should know all the answers and end up stuck, searching for an answer to a question they don't even know.  If you are one of these parents, here's a 'Get out Of Jail Free' card...it is impossible to know all the answers!

Courage

I have a motto "It is a courageous thing to ask for help.  It is a beautiful thing to receive it".  This is never as true as when I am talking to the parent of a child who is struggling to make sense out of growing up.  I know in the past people may have seen it as failure to take your child to an expert for assistance and now you know that is not the case.  You want the best for your child and your child deserves the best start you can give them.

You put them in school with expert teachers to ensure they learn language, writing, arithmetic and other basic skills.  You run them to various clubs with expert teachers teaching them karate, dancing, swimming, football, music or whatever your kid is into.  Where do you turn when your kid wants help with their emotions and feelings?  Do you turn to an expert or do you hope that it will pass as they get older?

And when the issue becomes severe it affects you and your whole family as well, doesn't it?  Your relationship with you partner begins to strain as all your attention is taken up in worrying about helping your child, brothers and sisters begin to notice that life isn't the same anymore and the old 'routines' are changing to accommodate the 'issue'.  It is a tough juggling act and just adds to the stress of the whole situation.

Success

I have successfully worked with children aged between 7 and 17 on issues such as bed wetting, chronic shyness, aspergers syndrome, exam stress, fears and phobias and stresses and traumas caused by things such as bullying.

Using a variety of gentle techniques like story telling, subtle questioning, visualisation and play, I empower children to open up and make 'sense' of their lives and their emotions and make fast, effective change that allows them to get that great start you want for them.

If you think that expert help could free your child then call 01505 342 457 and I will happily talk you through the process, the techniques, the success stories and what is possible.  In many cases an informal home visit can be arranged for you, your child and I to meet to ensure everyone is happy with what is going to happen.

Precious

I know your child is your most precious thing.  And I know you need an expert you can trust.  As a parent you can't ever know all the answers to everything that is going to happen in your child's life and it is a brave thing to ask for help.  Call or email now and take the first step towards total freedom.
