1. Can I afford it?
The eternal question. The real question you should be asking is can you afford not to do it?
You are the only one that knows exactly how you feel and you have to ask yourself how much it is worth to you to be free of this current way of thinking, behaving and living.
NLP, unlike some other techniques, does not 'undo' itself over time. That means, when we meet for your consultation, we can discuss a way of organising your sessions so that they suit your diary and your budget. If that means one session every week, every fortnight, every month or something else then I promise we will make it work for you.
I want to ensure that everyone can access the expert assistance they need to be everything they can be. That includes you. Before you tell yourself this is something you can't do, call me and arrange a coffee and see how possible it could be. (Back To Top)
2. I work every day, are there evening sessions?
Yes, the last evening session is normally 7pm. The days for evening sessions vary so when you call I will organise this with you to make sure it is a suitable day for you. (Back To Top)
3. Will I have to relive all my past fears/hurts/sadness etc.?
We will, at times, be talking about your past and we will briefly chat about specific emotional events in your life. We do have hankies and sometimes we need to use them!
However, the majority of techniques that we will use are designed to quickly get to the root causes of the issues you are having and assist you in gently releasing the emotions associated to those events.
Most clients are surprised by just how easy it is to totally let go of emotions that have been with them for many, many years. (Back To Top)
4. Is NLP like hypnotherapy?
NLP and Hypnotherapy both deal with the unconscious (sometimes called your subconscious) causes of your emotions.
However, hypnosis techniques are only one small part of NLP. If you are not comfortable with the thought of hypnosis then there are plenty of different techniques we can use which will get you the same result. (Back To Top)
5. How long does it take?
On average, clients will have between 4 and 10 hours of therapeutic time. (Back To Top)
6. What is NLP?
Simply put, NLP is way of changing existing negative thinking and behaviour into more positive thinking and behaviour.
Find out more about how it can help you and your specific set of circumstances by going to the What can NLP do? page. (Back To Top)
7. Do I have to take a session after my consultation?
No. The consultation is an opportunity for you to meet Brian, ask any questions you may have and check this is something you want to do. NLP is not for everyone and you need to be sure before we start. (Back To Top)
8. Does it always work?
I use a variety of techniques including NLP, Coaching, Time Line Therapy, Hypnotherapy and a whole range of individual tools and techniques that I have learned by modelling some of the greatest coaches in the world. Not every technique works everytime and that is why I constantly work to expand my range of skills, tools, methods and techniques.
I have more ways of dealing with your issues than you have issues! The question is about finding the right one for your individual circumstances, personality and state of mind.
I promise you, even guarantee you, that with honesty and only a little slice of patience we will always find a way to conquer the issues that you currently face. (Back To Top)
9. What actually happens during a session?
In the first few sessions you will spend much of the time talking through exactly how your problems 'work'. I will ask you specific questions tailored to discover the specific mental and emotional processes that you use to have your current issue.
Once we understand what those processes are (this can take from just a few minutes to 2/3 hours) we will then utilise the best technique, tool or thinking process to assist you in changing the way the old behaviour worked.
Sessions are dynamic and no 2 clients are the same. Understand that the sessions will be tailored to you and your current state of mind. There are no scripts, no preconceived ideas, no judgments; every session is unique and will ensure you get the best, quickest and most effective intervention possible.
We will talk this over in more detail when we meet for our consultation and I will give you an idea of some specific interventions we may use to assist you once I understand more about what's going on for you just now. (Back To Top)
