Why Huna?

Are you on a journey that you know is right but there is still something missing?  You’ve studied the mind, the body, emotions and energy.  Developed and learnt so much but still feel there is something out there bigger than you ….past your current horizons but something that is in grasping distance……….It’s like being at a crossroads or at the edge of a cliff.

What you do know is that what you are looking for has a name because everything does, does it not, but not a label.  You have faith in spirituality or religion for example and are looking for something that compliments these beliefs, not seeks to remove them or change them.

So what is Huna?

There are many people involved in the study of the most powerful Shamanic systems that believe Huna to be one of, if not THE, first system of shamanic practice.  Huna is widely talked about as the root system that every other spiritual and religious system has grown from. 

In fact, Huna encompasses aspects of many of the other systems that are widely popular today such as –

• The energy of Reiki and SKHM
• Divination
• The Wiccan understanding of magic and spirit connection
• Angelwork
• Chanting and use of voice as found in Buddhism and many ‘mainstream’ religions
• Technique and Visualisation such as found in Neuro Linguistic Programming

Left untouched and pure by Western philosophy and theology for thousands of years, the Polynesian people nurtured and evolved a set of spiritual practices that allowed them to change physical ailments, emotional blockages and negative thought patterns instantly by connecting to something bigger than themselves. 

Their simple understanding that spirituality was not reserved only for ‘special’ people but only required time, practice and belief is a refreshing alternative to much of the so called ‘spirituality’ popularised today.

Barbara De Angelis is quoted as saying “In order to experience everyday spirituality, we need to remember that we are spiritual beings spending some time in a human body” and this concept of everyday spirituality is exactly what Huna is. 

Huna teaches that we all have our own individual parental spirit who has one role – to nurture and teach us; not ‘rules’ and plagiarised dogma used to keep you fearful of terrible vengeance from an unseen power. 

Huna is a system where there is only one sin, everyone is born pure and forgiveness is eternal; not born a sinner, dying a sinner and eternally begging forgiveness for unknown wrongs.

Huna understands that it is not perfect and that there is always more to learn; not that it is the one true system at the expense of all others.

Huna is simple.

Huna is about choices.

Huna is about how you can use what exists that is bigger than you.

So How Do I Learn More?

Experience the first part of this magical journey -Noa (clearing out and letting go) and Noho (reconnection to the spirit) - on our 2 day introductory Huna course on April 4th & 5th 2009 just outside Glasgow.

There will also be an opportunity to experience an energy healing session which is the first time this has been offered on an Introductory Huna course in Scotland.  This incredible 20 minute session with one of our fully trained Huna Huamana will leave you feeling connected to the warming energy that dates back through two lineages to the time the world began.

Who Is Teaching Me?

Your trainer's and guides through this journey will be Carolyn Biggs and Brian Costello.

Since being introduced to Huna in 2004 Carolyn has studied through two lineages and various teachers in both Hawaii and Scotland. With her own personal experiences of life changing results and varied teaching methods Carolyn now aims to pass this joy of personal transformation on to others.

Carolyn has worked with energy for a number of years and is a Reiki Master and Huna Haumana. However these qualifications are only part of her journey which includes angel work, SKHM, tarot, magic, soundship and mediumship before she found Huna a few years ago.

This is what Carolyn says about her Huna experience "What I love about Huna is that it encompasses all of the disciplines I have learned in a really practical day to day way.  Huna just is. You do not need to consciously think about it or set a side time for practice. It just becomes part and parcel of your life.  But, in saying that, if you want to take the time out and encompass it into ritual and practise then you can manifest truly incredible results.".

Your other trainer is Brian Costello. He first tripped over the concept of Huna during an NLP training in 2003. Before this point Brian was one of the many people who confused his own spirituality and the concept of religion and therefore shunned both. Huna changed all that.

Brian is the owner of Personal Development and Success company 'HeadStrong' and it is through HeadStrong that Brian trains many people in how to achieve more out of their lives and this is where he believes Huna plays a principal role.
